Leslie Gould is the #1 bestselling and Christy Award winning author of twenty novels. She enjoys Church history, traveling, and any kind of research. She received her MFA from Portland State University in 2009 and teaches writing on the college level.
Leslie knew she wanted to write fiction by the time she was in the sixth grade, but as she grew older she pursued other things instead, such as majoring in history and communications, working as a museum curator, a public relations specialist, and as a magazine editor. Once she finally started writing fiction, it was another ten years until she sold her first novel. By that time Leslie had been married for nearly 20 years and had four children of her own to read to. In the decade since her first contract Leslie has written nineteen novels, from Beyond the Blue, a story about international adoption set in Vietnam, to Courting Cate, a retelling of Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew” set in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. No matter what she writes, Leslie aims to reveal truths about God’s love, beauty, and redemptive work in our lives. Her goal is to connect more deeply to God, family, and friends through her writing. Her hope is that her stories encourage readers to deepen their own connections too. Leslie and her husband, Peter, have four children and live in Portland, Oregon. |
